Face Blind UK – Vision and Values

Face Blind UK has been set up by a group of individuals with experience of living with prosopagnosia. It is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to provide information and support and to increase awareness of the condition.

Face Blink UK adopted the following Mission, Vision and Values statements as guiding principles for its work, in August 2014.

Mission Statement:

To support people in the UK with face blindness, by raising awareness and understanding of the condition, and providing a range of services & resources

Vision:

Face Blind UK’s vision is that face blindness and its impact will become widely known and understood, and appropriate support and advice will be available

Values:

The organisation’s approach will reflect the following principles and values  –

Relevant – Works in response to needs and priorities identified by people affected by face blindness

Inclusive – Seeks to be as inclusive and accessible as possible in its work

Ethical – Works in a way that is environmentally and socially responsible

Sustainable – Is committed to work in the long term towards its aims

High standards – Provides support and services which are consistent, authentic and high quality

Objects of Face Blind UK

The objects of this Community Interest Company are – to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular to work across the UK to raise awareness, recognition and understanding of face blindness (prosopagnosia), and to provide services to people who have face blindness, including information, networking and support.
